2026 Nunavut Mining Symposium

The Nunavut Mining Symposium is excited to welcome you to the 2026 Nunavut Mining Symposium. This year's event will run from April 20 - 22, in Iqaluit at the Aqsarniit Hotel with some sessions at the Frobisher Inn. We are excited to realign the program to all for better alignment with the flight schedules on our airline partner, Canadian North.

The event will start at 1:00 PM on Monday April 20 and close with our signature Gala Dinner hosted by Agnico Eagle on April 22. We will have talks at both the Aqsarniit and Frobisher Inn.

There are lots of ways you can participate - we rely on registration fees and sponsorships to keep this event a success. We are always looking for new and diverse topic ideas. Please feel free to complete a speaker interest form with your ideas! Speaker receive a complementary day pass to the event for the day they are speaking.

About the Nunavut Mining Symposium Society

The Symposium is run by the not-for-profit Nunavut Mining Symposium Society. The Nunavut Mining Symposium Society was created to "conduct the affairs of a mining convention in the Nunavut Territory to promote the responsible development of the mineral, oil and gas sectors of the Nunavut economy while being sensitive to the environment and its people.” The Society’s membership and officers reflect representation from the industry’s stakeholders. Directors are appointed from the Government of Nunavut, the NWT/NU Chamber of Mines, CIRNAC, NTI, Mining & Exploration Industry, Regional Inuit Associations, and others with an interest in the mining and exploration sector in Nunavut. Where possible and practical, it includes individuals from the three regions of Nunavut: the Kitikmeot, Kivalliq and Qikiqtani Regions.

While the Society’s annual work includes the symposium, the Society has also led and hosted topic-specific conversations including the Oil and Gas Summit, the Nunavut Petroleum Workshop and the Diamond Drilling Workshop. As the Society continues to evolve, we look forward to expanding on our mandate to work with other stakeholders to share information, and provide education and resources to continue to attract and engage our broad set of stakeholders.
