Tara started learning about the land and developing skills at outpost camps during the establishment of Nunavut then settled in Cambridge Bay after finishing a degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She has supported the work of the Nunavut Impact Review Board since 2009 in various positions. Her priorities are continuing to learn about the land and wildlife in Nunavut through experience and building skills, supporting family, participating in local food growing opportunities, and maintaining the guilty and expensive habit of growing orchids.
