Sarah Kemp de Gereda is an anthropologist with over 20 years of experience supporting Indigenous engagement and participation across infrastructure, mining, and resource development projects in Canada and internationally. She has been with Stantec since 2014 and, in her current role as Senior Indigenous Advisor, works in Indigenous engagement, impact assessment, and the development and implementation of Indigenous Participation Plans.

Her experience spans mining, infrastructure, and remediation projects, with a focus on northern Canada. She has led engagement programs, supported Indigenous Knowledge integration, contributed to environmental assessment processes, and developed Indigenous monitoring, training, and employment initiatives. As part of her role, Sarah also serves as Operations Manager for two of Stantec’s Indigenous partnerships in the Northwest Territories, supporting collaboration with communities to advance capacity-building and participation in projects. Her work is grounded in relationship-building and creating space for Indigenous communities to bring forward their knowledge, priorities, and values.
