This panel brings together Inuit change-makers to share their views on how shipping and other marine activity are affecting their lives, communities and futures. Panelists will speak about what they see and feel on the land, water and ice, and how shipping connects to climate change, culture, language, education and jobs.

The discussion will focus on what Inuit want leaders to understand, what kind of future they hope to see in Nunavut waters, and how they want to be involved in decisions and solutions. The goal is to create space for early career Inuit, without putting pressure on them to speak for everyone, and to ensure that their perspectives help shape the actions that follow this symposium.
