Kevin McGinty is a proud member of Selkirk First Nation and of the Wolf Clan, born and raised in Pelly Crossing, Yukon, in the heart of Selkirk's Traditional Territory. Grounded in culture, customs and traditional knowledge passed down from his grandparents, he brings a strong value-based approach to leadership and land stewardship. Elected Chief in 2011, Kevin served to terms over six years, gaining extensive experience working with industry, governments, and community partners on responsible resource development. Since 2018, he has held senior roles within Selkirk First Nation's Lands and Resources and Mineral Resources Departments that oversees several major mining projects. As Vice President of Lands and Environment for Selkirk Copper, Kevin leads Land management and environmental oversight for the Minto Mine re-start, ensuring regulatory compliance while advancing Selkirk First Nation priorities and objectives
